I am currently working on “We Shadows III; Oleo.”
But I wanted to do a short story, to cleanse your reading palettes, so to speak, between graphic novels. I also wanted to fill in some of those gaps in the past of these characters and answer a lot of unanswered questions.
And so..tomorrow begins “The Secret Origin of Goat.” An appetizer that leads into the meal that will be WS III. It will take a little over 2 months to post it all here. Or you can buy the hard copy and have it all in your hands before anyone else 🙂
Oooh, Oooh, unanswered questions! Lessee…
“If it takes a chicken-and-a-half a day-and-a-half to lay an egg-and-a-half, how long does it take a grasshopper with a wooden leg to kick all the seeds out of a dill pickle?”
(That one’s always kept me awake at nights…)
The square root of a bowl of oatmeal.
So, part two ends with the conflict still unresolved. There’s been a massive revelation about the bad guy’s identity, one good guy is in captivity, while the rest are miserable.
Except for one happy reunion. The Empire Strikes Back could have needed a Mushroom.
I think in “Empire” the Mushroom was Luke’s hand coming back 🙂
But to answer more pointedly, some of this current story does indeed continues in the Goat comic. But more importantly, you’re getting some of the backdrop of their history that will lead into book III.
That is probably the most evil thing Vogue has done yet. I doubt she believes that the enemy of her enemy is her friend, she wants to rule and conquer all and no one is her friend. She gave Goat back her psychosis bringing back a type of mushroom, I do not believe it is the same as before as it is not Robin’s spell but it keeps her attention off Vogue. The queen is willing to take any help so long as she can get Robin back and thus Vogue is somehow able to do as she pleases. Only Cosmo probably understands the danger of having Vogue about and will hopefully once again prove how much she has changed in the next book.
Hmmm… Possibly. I think it likelier that Vogue’s Mushroom is a mole or a sleeper, planted to give Vogue an advantage when she again makes a play for all of Faerie. Vogue’s “Let the healing begin!” is probably sincere; she fancies that she wants opponents worthy of her strength, prowess, and planning. A Goat weakened by her neurotic dependence on Mushroom would be a less worthy opponent than a Goat deceived and later betrayed by Vogue’s simulacrum of Mushroom.
Vogue is very dangerous because of her intent to prove her worth. She truly wants Faerie at full strength when she takes it. Anything less would demean her. She may have gained her greatest power through the focus of a lie, but she wants to win an honest battle. That’s why Titania said, “I recognize your honor.” She respects her. Though Titania dwells in the light you don’t get as powerful as she is without understanding both dark and light.
GASP!!! Cosmo is going to take over Faerie!? oh typo you’re hilarious. I do believe you meant Vogue.
I have NO IDEA what you’re talking about…hmmm
lol cheater
Yay! Mushrooms back! But…is it the REAL Mushroom, or is it simply a creation of Vouge?
