Of course, there is a 5th face of Vogue now covered by the mask. But I think your imaginations will keep it more gruesome than I could ever draw.

Yup! Vincent called it, yesterday; we’re going to be kept in suspense for a few books, now.
;-P
A Merry Christmas to you, Mr. Strait, and many thanks for sharing this most captivating tale!
haha, knew it. so she like, gored her face a bit, then put the mask back on, making it look like taking off the mask revealed the horror, and then she put it back on to hide it, but since her “ugliness” has been “revealed” it’s now seeping out or something. That’s what the Commedia are thinking anyway.
They are also thinking, “Oh crap, she just had the mask on a short while, we’ve had it on for years!”

Wha? I swear I only clicked once! Please feel free to moderate/delete the duplicate comment.
that has got to be perfect! blood framed mask
🙂
I imagine the Commedia reason thus: OMG she ATTACKED her own face. How horrrible it must be. WAIT… What about my face? AAAAAAAAAAH!
Either they think it was so horrible she attacked her own face or they think their faces are horribly lacerated under the masks
Keshi really needs to step up his screen time. people are going to just forget about him or dislike him as a character as Vogue is clearly adored more as a villain.
Well, let’s face it: Vogue’s *way* more intriguing, right now. I mean, what motivates Keshi? The same ol’ power-lust as every other pulp villain? Bo-o-oring! But, Vogue? She seeks power as a means to acceptance. And she’s hungry enough for that acceptance that she’s willing to take desperate and drastic measures to get there, and probably by any means available. She’s tried beauty. She’s tried being the power behind the throne. She’s making an overt power-play, now. What will she do next? She’s *fascinating!*
And, I’ve got to admit, I could drown in glamorous Vogue’s eyes.
;-P
He’s coming back soon but he’s still an inferior villain next to Vogue
I love the Vogue picture.
Thanks!
I love Vogue’s character more and more, and on Christmas Day. I think this is a great way to start the Mayan Doomsday with blood dripping, creepy smile, and demonic eyes. Thanks for the great gift!
Quick question: What’s the face on the left? I know there’s the hobgoblin and the mask but other than that ?__?
That’s from the epilogue of book one. When she’s scrambling to get the last of her compact’s glamor on her face.
OhoOOOooh… I remember that scene, thank you kindly for reminding me
You know, I’m no medic or anything, but I’m not sure it’d take an over signicant amount of damage to get serious blood flow from the face like that. Unless I’m wrong.
I think you may be correct sir. I’m guessing that she did very little damage but she’s letting everyone think that she did.
She probably didn’t. But I can guarantee you there was a bit of disappointment when she took off the mask and discovered she was beautiful. She truly moved on from that need for beauty.
+1 here. She could just have cut round her chin… She may not crave beauty any more, but why throwing it away if she can have both things?
Happy Yuletide Sonny.
