This was originally drawn for print. Have to admit the double page spread in this format suffers a bit. It comes out too small. At least the lettering is large enough to read.

AH-HA! I see the mask!
…oh, wait, no. That’s Yorick, before his Shakespearean debut.
Wait a sec. Is that the mask in the last panel? The one currently being worn by Ruffles there?
What you see are a LOT of masks
Girl Genius sometimes has the same problem. Usually, they put the two pages up separately first, and then include an “elegant and finely-crafted link” to the full double-page spread. Here’s an example:

Anyway, I hope you continue to keep an eventual printed version in mind
I actually considered that. Well, more than considered it. I actually did a version with the 2-page spread with the individual pages underneath. But when I saw it was readable at this size I used this version.
My Troupe (The Chamberlain’s men/ The King’s men) can kick your Troupe’s rump.
Doubtful. In my troupe we had three punk rockers.
Because I had to read it recently for my summer class, all the masks are reminding me of “Six Characters”
I never read it. Perhaps it is also based on the Commedia since it too is Italian in origin.
I imagine that this would be very colorful if it weren’t black and white. Maybe because they’re the ‘Commedia’ and I think of things in color. 😐
Gonna have to project imaginary color on them. Of course, I picture those troupes very dingy and dirty. Kind of like those guys that dress like super-heroes on Hollywood Bvd. They look okay until you get up close.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I get like that with the people that do that here on the Strip (I live in Las Vegas, so I see those people a lot). From far away they look pretty then when I walk past I think “If they stand out here ever day dressed like that, when do they wash their costumes?…”
All the world is a stage and these guys wrote the jokes.
too true
The guy holding the head reminds me of a forumite shipper I know on the MSPA forums.
