    Oops! Classic mistake, Vogue. When usurping power, do not dismiss the one from whom you are usurping it until after you have ensured that person is truly powerless and incapable of retaliation.

        Yes. When Keshi tried to take control, she cut him off. Besides insubordination, he has another problem. Vogue is taking the Fae over. His plan was to destroy them. But if he publicly moves against her, the Commedia ( “his” Army ) will support her. Between a rock and a hard place, indeed. i’m starting to feel sorry for him.

          Well, at the least, the next few pages should prove quite interesting as we see how effectively Vogue can manipulate Keshi and we see Keshi realize how much his position and plans now depend on Vogue. But demons have a long history of compromising and adjusting well to surprises, right?
